Brenda has been scuba diving these waters since 1991, a legend as a hands on activist, (walked the talk and walked where angels fear to tread) is very passionate in her work, motivating conservation and other survival skills, such as arts and crafts made of natural materials. Deeper is the largest Giant Fan coral in Africa.
Dolphin Safari offers; Snorkeling with the Dolphins, sight seeing the other side of the bay, exploring a Cave and also Dive sights.
Dolphin Safaris have rewarded many, with recent sighting of Humpback whales, a band of 40 Spinner Dolphins performing their impressive rotating jumps and five Sailfish with bills and fins flashing past us on the journey. Spotting a pod of Bottlenose Dolphins and Whales gracing the waters again, is a special gift in one trip. At times the wild dolphins are curious and will allow visitors a brief snorkel with them.
Scuba diving with Common or Bottlenose Dolphins or Sun Fish (2 000kg) has also been a rare gift. This sanctuary area is a photographer’s paradise for micro and macro photography, shallow reef with lots of light at 3m-5m deep. 900 species of fish have been identified, including threatened pipefish and different seahorses. Hawksbill, Leatherback, Loggerhead and Green turtles are encountered. This area is home to 140 shell species, including giant clams, rare Triton and Halmet shells are witnessed on dives. The coastline around Pemba boasts the largest diversity of different Soft and Hard Coral, including the largest Giant Fan coral in Africa.
