The vast indigenous habitat is a Bird Watchers paradise in a well-balanced ecosystem -
Look out for the elusive Bat Hawk and Pale Batis. The mangroves occupy 12 different species of crabs as well as a plethora of insects which attract small mammals, reptiles and birds. There is an attraction for coastline birds, migratory birds, thorn veldt / bush veldt birds and forest birds that also feast on a variety of fruits and berries in the area.
